Place Names

The surface formations on other planets are named in Latin. One part of the name, which is mostly the first part, is a name of the place (e.g., the Alps), and the second word refers to the type of the location (e.g. mountains). Craters (circular depressions created as a result of impacts) have only one-word names.

The names are given by researchers, but if you want to suggest a name, you can do so here:
